How to post and comment on the Feed

The Feed is your group's main page. Polls and pinned posts are at the top, then everything else, newest first.

Write a post

1. Tap the box that says "Share news, ask a question, or start a conversation…".
2. Write your post. Web addresses turn into links.
3. Under the box, choose who it's for: Everyone, or one of your Circles.
4. Tap Post.

Add photos

While writing a post, tap Add photos and pick up to 10. They're resized to save space and go up when you tap Post. They also land in the group's Photos & files, in a Feed photos album. Photos can't be added to a scheduled post yet.

Post later

Tick Post later under the box, pick the date and time, and tap Schedule. Until then only you can see it, marked "Scheduled". When the time comes it appears on the Feed and families are notified as usual (within 15 minutes). You can schedule up to 60 days ahead; to cancel, delete it.

Comment

Type in Write a comment… under a post and tap Reply. Long threads show the latest comments.

React

Tap ☺+ under a post and pick an emoji. Tap a reaction to add yours, or tap your own again to take it back. Hold your finger (or mouse) over a reaction to see who reacted.

Search

Type a word in Search posts and tap Search to find posts that mention it. Clear search brings back the whole Feed.

Mention someone

Type @ and the start of a name in a post, a comment or a chat message, then pick the person from the list (or use the arrow keys and Enter). Their name shows in bold, and they get an email (and a phone notification, if they've turned those on) saying you mentioned them. People are only told about posts and messages they can see, and only once each.

Save posts for later

Tap ☆ Save under a post to keep it handy, like the co-op supply list or a field-trip address. Tap Saved posts above the Feed to see the ones you've saved in that group, and ★ Saved to take one off your list. Only you can see what you've saved.

Edit

Spotted a typo? Tap Edit on your own post or comment, fix it, and tap Save. Edited posts and comments are marked "edited". Emails that already went out aren't changed.

Delete

Tap Delete on your own post or comment. Admins can delete anyone's.

Pin

Leaders and Admins can tap Pin to keep a post at the top, and Unpin to let it drop back.

See one Circle

Tap a Circle's name above the posts to see only its posts. Everything shows them all. Tap Older posts at the bottom to go further back.
