How to run a poll
Ask a quick question, find a date that works, and turn the winning date into an event.
Anyone in a group can start a poll. Open polls sit at the top of the Feed.
Start a poll
- On the Feed, tap Start a poll.
- Type your Question.
- Choose the Kind of poll:
- Pick one: each person chooses one answer.
- Pick several: people tick every answer they like.
- Find a date: list dates and times; people tick each one that works.
- Add at least two choices or dates. Tap + Add another choice (or + Add another date) for more, up to 20.
- Optional settings:
- Who can vote: everyone, or one Circle only.
- Closes: a closing time. You can also close it yourself.
- Anonymous: show totals only, never who voted for what.
- Hide results until it closes: you and the Admins can still see them.
- Tap Create poll.
Vote
Tick your answer and tap Vote. You'll see the results once you've voted, unless they're hidden until the poll closes. Changed your mind? Tap Update my vote while the poll is open.
Close or delete
The person who started the poll, or an Admin, can tap Close poll or Delete. Closed polls stay on the Feed for a week.
Turn a date into an event
When a Find a date poll closes with a clear winner, Leaders and Admins see Make it an event → under it. It opens a new event with the question and date filled in. See How to add events.
