How to download or delete your information
Download everything Gatherings keeps about your family, and what happens when you delete your account.
You can download, or delete, your account and the information that goes with it at any time.
Download it
On My family, under Your account, tap Download our information. You get one file (JSON) with your account, household and students, planner, records and reading list, your posts, comments and messages, event answers, sign-ups and classes.
Group Admins can also download their group's families, events and posts as spreadsheets from the group's Settings.
Delete it
- Open My family and scroll to Your account.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Read what will happen, type DELETE, and tap Delete my account again.
You're signed out straight away. This can't be undone.
What happens
- If you're the only parent in your household, the household is deleted too, with its students, plans and records.
- If there's another parent, the household stays with them.
- Groups you own pass to another Admin. A group with no other families is deleted.
If it doesn't go through
- "You own … which has other families in it": make another parent an Admin on the group's Families tab first, so the group isn't left without a leader. See Roles.
- Your household still has teen accounts: remove their sign-ins from their student cards on My family first, or email info@gatherings.school and we'll help.
Thinking of printing your records first? See How to keep school-year records, and download your information above.
