How Gatherings protects your children's information

Children under 13 have no accounts and we keep only a first name and birth year.

Gatherings is built so that parents, not children, share their family's information.

Children

  • Children under 13 don't have accounts and can't sign in.
  • For each child we keep only a first name and a birth year. A photo is optional and added only by a parent. We never ask for a last name, email, phone number or location.
  • A child's first name and age are shown only to families in your groups. You can limit that to group Admins, or hide it. See How to choose what other families see.

Teens

Teens aged 13 to 17 can use Gatherings only through an account a parent or guardian sets up. Parents choose how they join teen Circles and whether they can send direct messages, and can see everything their teen posts and comments. See How teen accounts work.

Your plans and records

Your planner and records are seen only by the parents, guardians and teens in your household. Groups never see them.

Photos

Photos and files are private to the group or Circle they're shared with. We ask members to share photos of other people's children only with their parents' OK.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads. Groups aren't visible to anyone outside them.

Read the full Privacy Policy. To review, change or delete your children's information, edit it on My family or email info@gatherings.school.
