How to add photos for yourself and your students

Add a round headshot that shows next to names in chat, posts, comments and the directory.

Everyone can add a small round photo of themselves, and parents can add one for each student. It shows next to the name in chat, posts, comments, the group's Families list and the menu at the top.

Add or change your photo

  1. Open My family. You're under Parents and guardians (or Teens), marked (you).
  2. Tap Add photo (or Change photo) and choose a picture.
  3. Drag the picture to place your face in the circle, and use Zoom to get closer. On a computer, the mouse wheel zooms too.
  4. Tap Save photo.

The photo is cropped and shrunk on your device before it's uploaded, so only a small round picture is ever stored.

Add a student's photo

Parents only. On My family, under Students, tap Add photo beside the student, crop it the same way, then tick the box that says it's OK for people in your groups to see it, and tap Save photo.

A student's photo is seen by the same people who can see the student's name: your household, and the members of your groups your directory listing allows. To change that, see How to manage your directory listing.

Remove a photo

Tap Remove next to the photo on My family. Without a photo, a colored circle with the first letter shows instead. A student's photo is also deleted when you delete the student, and yours when you delete your account.

Teens add their own photo the same way. Parents add photos for children under 13, who don't have accounts.
