How to sign in

Get a sign-in link and code by email, send it again, and stay signed in on your own devices.

Gatherings doesn't use passwords. Each time you sign in, we email you a link and a code. Use either one.

  1. Go to the sign-in page and type your email address.
  2. If we spot a likely typo (like "gmial.com"), we'll ask Did you mean …?. Tap Use that to fix it.
  3. Tap Email me a sign-in link.
  4. Open the email. Either tap the link, or type the code into Or type the code from the email and tap Sign in.

On a phone, the code is the sure way. Gmail and Outlook often open links in their own browser, where the link can't finish signing you in. The code works anywhere.

The email hasn't come

  • It usually arrives within a minute. Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from gatherings.school.
  • Tap Send it again. For security, it unlocks after a minute.
  • Typed the wrong address? Tap Use a different email.
  • If you've asked for several links, use the newest one. After too many tries, wait an hour and try again.

"That sign-in link didn't work here"

Each link works once, for a short time, in the browser that asked for it. Send yourself a new one from the sign-in page, then type the code from the email instead of tapping the link.

Keep me signed in

Keep me signed in is ticked to start with, so you stay signed in on that device. Untick it on a shared or library computer. You'll be signed out when the browser closes.

Two-step sign-in

If you've turned on two-step sign-in, you'll also type a code from your authenticator app after the email link or code. See How to turn on two-step sign-in.

Sign out

Tap the circle with your initial at the top right of any page, then Sign out. It's also at the bottom of My family, under Your account.
