How to track birthdays

Add a birthday for each person in your family, and they show up on your calendar every year. Families in your groups can share theirs too.

Add birthdays

• Students: on My family, under Students, pick the month and day next to the student's birth year, then tap Save. Parents only.
• Parents and teens: under Parents and guardians (or Teens), pick the month and day beside Birthday. It saves on its own. Parents can set anyone's; a teen can set their own.

To remove one, set it back to Month and Day. Only the month and day are kept (plus a student's birth year), so ages come from the birth year.

Where they show

• On Home under Coming up when one is near, and on the Event Calendar, marked with 🎂.
• In your calendar app, if you subscribe (see How to see all your events in one calendar).

Share them with your groups (parents)

Birthdays stay inside your family until you choose otherwise. On My family, under Your directory listing, set Birthdays to Everyone in my groups or Group Admins only, then tap Save listing.

Then families in your groups see your family's birthdays on their calendars. A student's birthday is shared only where your students' names are (see How to choose what other families see).
