How to answer an event (RSVP)
Say whether your family is coming and how many, join the waitlist, and get a reminder the day before.
You answer once for your whole household.
Answer
- Open the event from the group's Calendar tab, or from Coming up on your Home page.
- Under Are you coming?, pick Going, Maybe or Can't make it.
- Set how many Adults and Children are coming.
- Add a Note if you like, such as "arriving late".
- Tap Send my answer.
To change it later, open the event again and tap Update my answer. Either parent in your household can answer or change it.
When an event is full
If there aren't enough spots, you go on the waitlist. When someone cancels or the organizer adds spots, waitlisted families move up in the order they answered. It happens on its own.
Add it to your calendar
Tap Add to my calendar under the event's time and place. Your phone or computer opens it in its calendar app. To get every event automatically, subscribe to your calendar link instead.
Who's coming
Who's coming lists each family's answer, headcount and note.
Reminders
The day before, families who said Going or Maybe, or who are on the waitlist, get a reminder email. About 2 hours before, anyone who said Going or Maybe and has phone notifications on gets a notification too. If your plans change, please update your answer so someone else can have your spot.
On your Home page, events you haven't answered show a Reply badge.
