How to invite families to your group

Owners and Admins invite families from the group's Invite tab. There are two ways.

Shareable link

One link for everyone. Post it in your old group, or text it to families.

1. Open the Invite tab.
2. Under Shareable link, tap Create a link.
3. Tap Copy link and share it.

What happens next depends on your join setting. Either families join right away, or they fill in your application and wait for approval. See How to set up your application and approve families. Each link shows the date it works until; tap Extend for another 30 days, or Revoke to turn it off.

If your group is set to personal invites only, there's no shared link.

Meeting in person? Tap Show a QR code for meetings. Families point their phone camera at it to open the same link. Show it on a screen or print the page. Tap Download the QR code (PNG) to put it on a flyer or slide.

Personal invites

Each family gets its own link by email. It only works for that address. If your group has an application, they answer it first. A personal invite lets them straight in, unless you set Families with a personal invite to Wait for approval, like everyone else (see How to set up your application and approve families).

1. Under Send personal invites, paste email addresses into Email addresses, one per line.
   • You can paste rows straight from a roster spreadsheet. We pick out the email addresses and ignore names and phone numbers.
   • Or tap Or upload a spreadsheet (CSV).
2. Tap Create personal invites.

You can add up to 200 at a time. Anyone who already has an invite waiting is skipped. If some emails couldn't be sent, copy their links from the list and send them yourself.

See who joined

Below the form, every personal invite from the last 90 days shows Joined, Waiting or Expired, with a count at the top.

• Resend emails the invite again and gives it another 30 days. It works on expired invites too.
• Revoke turns off an invite that hasn't been used.

Only Owners and Admins see the Invite tab.
