How to show your family's day on a wall screen
A private link that shows today or this week (lessons, chores, events and meals) on a tablet or screen at home, where kids can tick things off.
Hang a tablet in the kitchen (or put the family's day on a spare monitor or TV) and everyone can see what's happening without signing in. It's part of Hearth.
Set it up (parents)
- Open My family and find Wall display.
- Tap Make a wall display link.
- Open the link on the screen you'll hang up (tap Open, or Copy link and send it to that device). On an iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, so it opens full screen.
What it shows
- Today: the date and time in big type, today's events and meals, and a card for each student with their lessons and chores. Whole-family lessons and "anyone" chores are under Everyone.
- This week: tap This week for the week in columns, with each day's events, lessons, chores and dinner.
- Tap a student's name to show only theirs, or Everyone for the whole family.
It refreshes by itself every few minutes, asks the screen to stay on, and dims late at night (9pm to 6am).
Ticking things off
Kids can tap the circle next to a chore or lesson when they're done. Chores are ticked straight away. Lessons are marked done and wait for a parent to confirm, just like Student mode: you'll see them on Home under Marked done, waiting for you.
Keep it private
Anyone with the link can see your students' first names, lessons, chores and events, and tick things off, so keep it to your home. If it gets out, tap Make a new link and the old one stops working. Turn off stops it entirely.
