How to keep track of outside activities

Open My family in the menu at the top and choose Activities (on a phone, tap My family, then the Activities tab).

Add one (parents)

1. Under Add an activity, name it ("Piano lessons"), choose the kind, and tick who goes (tick no one for something the whole family does).
2. Under When it meets, choose the day, start time, how long, and how often (every week, every other week…). Tap + Another day or time for a second practice or game day.
3. Give the first day and, for a season or term, the last day.
4. If you like, add the teacher or coach, where it is, their phone, email and website, notes ("Bring a helmet"), and the cost.
5. Tap Add activity.

Each session shows on the Event Calendar, on Home under Coming up, on the wall display, and in your calendar link. If you've turned on phone notifications, parents get one about an hour before each session ("Piano at 4:00 PM · Seth · Grandpa is driving"). Cancelled sessions don't send one. Tap a phone number or email on the activity to call or write.

Change one session

At the top of Activities, Next three weeks lists every session. Tap Change this one under a session to mark it cancelled, move it to another day or time, say who's driving, or add a note ("Recital, wear black"). Only that session changes. Clear everything you added to put it back.

Tap Ask someone to drive under a session to ask families in your groups (or, with Hearth, your relatives); the first one to say yes shows as the driver (how).

Payments

Open Payments on an activity to log what you've paid and see the total. Paid with ESA funds? Add the purchase on ESA funds too.

Count it toward school hours

Choose a Subject for the activity (piano as Music, riding or sports as PE), then tap Add the season's sessions to the planner. Each session becomes a lesson in the planner, so when you tick it, the time counts in Records. Sessions already in the planner aren't added twice. This part is part of Hearth.

When the season ends

Tap Change, then The season's over. It comes off the calendar; its lessons in the planner and its payments stay.
