Campus: tuition and ESA billing for programs
For hybrid programs, tutoring centers and microschools: monthly tuition that bills itself from class enrollments, card payments and autopay, overdue tracking, and ESA-ready invoices and receipts.
Campus is a plan for groups that run classes families pay for. It's $3 per member family a month, billed yearly, and includes everything in Group Hearth (so every family has Hearth).
Turn it on (Admins)
Open the group's Settings and find Campus. Tap Start Campus, or Switch to Campus if you have Group Hearth (you pay the difference for the rest of the year). To take cards and autopay, connect Stripe on the group's Payments tab (how); the money goes straight to your program's Stripe account.
Set prices
- On Classes → manage, open a term. Under Tuition (Campus), choose how per-term prices bill (split into monthly payments, or the whole term on the first bill), and whether there's a semester commitment (a student who leaves a class after the term starts is still billed for the rest of the term; leaving before the first day stops billing).
- On each class, set Tuition and whether it's per month or per term.
- Optional: a registration fee per student on the term. It goes on the family's bill (due right away) when a student first enrolls in that term; students on a waitlist aren't charged until they get a spot.
- Optional: a sibling discount under Program details on the Tuition tab. In each family, the student with the most tuition pays full price and each brother or sister gets the discount on their classes.
Bills
On the Tuition tab, each family's bill makes itself on your billing day each month, from their students' enrollments (waitlisted students aren't billed). Families get an email. Tap Make the bills to make a month's bills early, or to add new enrollments to this month's open bills.
- Who owes lists each family's balance and oldest due date, and the boxes at the top show what's not yet due, 1–30, 31–60 and over 60 days late, and what's come in this month.
- Record a payment marks a bill paid by ESA funds, check, cash or another way (with a note like the ClassWallet order), or voids it. Card payments are refunded in your Stripe dashboard.
- Students who left a class mid-term shows seats still billed under the semester commitment; Release stops billing one.
Under Program details, add your legal name, address, tax ID and a note; they print on every invoice and receipt, with the ESA platforms you accept (set on Settings → Public page).
For families
Open the group's Tuition tab to see your bills. Tap Pay to pay by card, and tick the box to save your card for autopay, which pays each bill on its due date. Set up autopay saves a card without paying; Turn off stops it.
Owe a bill? Classes shows a reminder with a link to Tuition.
Each bill is an invoice until it's paid and a receipt after, laid out for ESA: the program's details, each student's classes with dates of service, and totals. Tap a student's name for just their receipt, or Download PDF to upload it to your ESA platform. On a paid bill, Add to ESA funds adds one purchase per student (with an ESA account) to your ESA funds, with the receipt attached.
